During this course we will focus mainly on writing and grammar. Writing exercises help you practice your grammar. It's also a great way to boost your speaking, since you will practice formulating sentences.

At the end of this course you will have learned a lot in terms of both vocabulary and grammar.
How does it work?
1. After signing up you will receive an email with a booking link, so you can plan the intake lesson directly into the agenda of the teacher.
2. After exploring your level and needs during the intake session, she will design a 6 weeks writing course for you (one writing exercise of +/- 30 minutes every week*).
3. Feedback and tips will be given via email.
4. You can contact the teacher via email if you have questions or doubts.
5. The course ends after finishing the last exercise (and having received written feedback). *A new exercise will be shared every week, regardless of whether you've already completed the previous assignment.

One week before the start date you will receive a Zoom link and the instructions for the first lesson. A reminder will be sent the day the lesson takes place. When you click the link you will join a Zoom call with your teacher and fellow students.
Missing one or more lessons isn't a problem for most courses: you can continue with the course.
It's not possible to make up for the lesson in another group or future course. You will, however, receive the lesson notes. If you'd like, you can write about the topic of the missed lesson. You can send your piece of text to the teacher and receive feedback on your writing.
Just send an email to info@thedutchonlineacademy.com describing your language learning background and goals. Our teacher will think along with you and send you some example materials.
We have spent a long time considering the ideal group size for each course. In the course description, you'll find a description of the amount of participants (minimum & maximum). The groups are relatively small and rarely bigger than 5 to 7 students.
Preparation varies by course. In the course description, you will find more details. You will also receive instructions about lesson preparation in the first email, sent one to two weeks before the start of the course.
All materials are included in our courses and shared via email. The only exception is the book club. If you participate in the book club, you must purchase and read the book (for more info, look at our reading club).
With a PRO account, you'll have access to unlimited flashcards, PRO podcasts, all the Video Courses and the Wordle history. It's included in certain courses for extra learning support. In the course description you'll see how many months access are included. If you buy multiple courses with a PRO account included, the one with the longest time of access will be applied. If you already have a yearly PRO subscription, the purchase of a course including PRO access doesn't change your account.
When the access period has expired (so when the course ends), you can continue your PRO access by purchasing a PRO subscription or enrolling in a follow-up course with access to PRO.
